THE LAST ENTRY!
so how did the questions change for me from beginning to end of this journal...? well as for graphic design and what it is. it's everything. anything that i see these days is related to graphic design. and just the thought of the world without it can't be pictured. graphic design is why the world looks so beautiful (and ugly) in the human perspective. of course the natural part of the world is even more beautiful. but after recording these many journal entries, i've learned a lot about myself as a designer and a person. for example, the walks i went on to shoot typography, i saw a lot of the world that most people don't see as they drive by it in cars. not only do i care greatly about the environment, and what the human race is doing to it, but i discovered the passion i have for relating my design skills and artistic ability to the environment. to inform people visually the earth, and the concerns we should share for it.
what is typography? helvetica.
my responsibilities...they remain the same + a little more. which i mentioned up above.
what can i do to make my viscom classes more valuable?
i'm gonna start by taking my workbook to the next level. i didn't think this thought until it was too late, just before the project itself was due. but once this semester is over, i'm going to expand my workbook into something better. not only take all of the lessons learned in typography, but in graphics as well. breakdown all of the things i've learned throughout these years, and turn them into my own personal design book. everything i've learned and know will be in there. anything from cross rules OMG, and the 5 basic guidelines of logo creation. i got really excited about this, and i wanted to have it all done to turn in for the workbook, but it was too late. so it will be constructed over the summer. so this way, all of the knowledge i gain from my internship will be in there as well. but i guess if you're teaching me right, than it will all be the same. :)
my boss went to k-state. gross.
